2 minute typing test
Two minutes shows more than speed. It shows how well you hold it. Watch the chart at the end to see exactly where you sped up or faded.

Speed you can keep
Many typists are quick for thirty seconds and then slow down. A two-minute test measures the speed you can actually keep up, which is closer to how you type an essay, an email or a long message.
Pace yourself
- Settle into a rhythm in the first ten seconds rather than sprinting.
- Breathe and keep your shoulders loose.
- If you slip, drop back to accuracy for a few words and build up again.
Read your chart
Your results show average WPM and your speed every second. A falling line means fatigue; dips with red dots mean mistakes. It is the quickest way to see what to practise.
Questions
Why take a longer typing test?
Longer tests are more reliable and show your endurance. They are a better guide to real-world typing than short bursts.
My speed drops after a minute. Is that normal?
Very. Steady daily practice and staying relaxed help you hold your speed for longer.
Is there an even longer mode?
Marathon mode unlocks as you progress, and Zen mode has no timer at all.
